Opening of the " Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Library " at Poonam Sagar Complex on 1st Nov 2010.

I am equally excited to announce the opening of the " Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi library " in Mira bhayander on 1st Nov 2010 to people & students in particular to have access to latest trends & happening in the world.

Down the line within few years i have ambition to turn this in E –Library wherein with a click of button students & especially the Post graduate students gains access to all the latest Information.

Opening of the " Indira Gandhi Municipal Hospital" & "Rajiv Gandhi Blood Bank" at Poonam Sagar complex on 1st Nov 2010.

It gives me immense pleasure to announce the commissioning & launch of Bharat Ratna Indira Gandhi Municipal hospital & Town Park at Poonam Sagar complex at Mira Road on 1st Nov 2010 which is constructed with MBMC & MLC funds during my tenure.

The hospital consists of the following facilities:-

• 50 beds with full time doctors.
• 24 Hours Emergency services.
• Morgue which is already in operation.
• Paediatrics facility.
• 3 Incubators.
• 2 Dialysis machines
• Primary health care facility.
• Trained paramedical staff.

I am also delighted to announce 24 hours Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi blood bank facility centre which is going to be handled by NGO who would be caring patients with humane & professional way in the same hospital. The major advantage is affordability & cost price for the common people of this town.

Launch of Umrao Hospital

It gives me immense pleasure to announce the commissioning & soft launch of Dream project “The Umrao Institute of medical science & Research centre at Mira Road on 9th October 2010.

Bhopal Gas disaster - Justice Denied

The UCIL factory was established in 1969 near Bhopal. 50.9% was owned by Union Carbide Corporation (UCC) and 49.1% by various Indian investors, including public sector financial institutions.

Several other factors were identified by the inquiry, including the fact that the operators chose a dangerous method of manufacturing pesticides, there was large-scale storage of MIC before processing, the location of the plant was close to a densely populated area, there was under-dimensioning of the safety features, and the plant depended on manual operations.

Deficiencies in the management of UCIL were also identified. There was a lack of skilled operators due to the staffing policy, there had been a reduction of safety management due to reducing the staff, there was insufficient maintenance of the plant and there were only very loose plans for the course of action in the event of an emergency.

On 7 June 2010 seven former employees of the Union Carbide subsidiary, all Indian nationals and many in their 70s, were convicted of causing death by negligence and each sentenced to two years imprisonment and fined Rs.1 lakh.All were released on bail shortly after the verdict

When US President can demand billions of dollars from BP than what stops them to have same justice done over here. The GOM has to provide proper documentation & report to govt / legal to have final justice for all the people of that disaster. The final verdit should be above party politics & justice system. LET`S HOPE N PREY FOR THE BEST IN TIME FRAME MANNER.

UP Tour ( From 16th June to 20th June )

Right now travelling in UP as an AICC Observer for the meeting with Dist congress comm members.In last two days i been to lucknow, Barabanki ,Bahraich , balarampur,siddhartha nagar. In coming two days i will be in Santkabir nagar ,Basti & Gonda. Hoping to have a good first hand report of all the ground level activity in these areas.

Observer - UP Polls -2012

AICC has appointed me as an observer for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls -2012. I am given task to fulfill the vision of Shri Rahul Gandhi to have standalone Congress govt in state.

8 Block Training Camps

We have successfully organised full day district level training camps in all the 8 blocks with the mega event been held at GCC Club attended by State President Shri Manikrao Thakreji.

Additional Water supply for Mira Bhayander

After continuous follow up with the state govt & concerned authorities i have successfully got sanction from the government in regards to the additional water supply of 250MLD of which 100 MLD from MMRDA & 100 MLD from Maharashtra state irrigation dept. I have also managed to get the balance water supply from the Surya Dam in Vikramgarh near Jawar. The dam project is also boon to the coastal areas which were short of water mostly during summer. Recently the water from this dam is also been provided to Virar, Vasai & now Mira Road which are part of Thane district. The project is sanctioned under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission with the support of state govt & duly approved by the Central Govt. The short supply of 18MLD from MIDC is also taken up with the state authorities & they have assured to look into this matter on priority basis in set time frame manner. All these issues raised & assurance sanctioned is on the top most precedence list of the government.

1st May - 50th Golden year of Maharashtra state n Labour day

1st May, Maharashtra Day is a day of pride for every citizen of Maharashtra. This year 1st May is even more important as it is the 50th year of the formation of the State of Maharashtra.

India started observing Labour week beginning on May 1, 1927.In Maharashtra and Gujarat (States in India), Labour week also coincides with 'Maharashtra Divas' and 'Gujarat Divas' (respectively, Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day) because the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat were created on the same week in 1960.The celebration of Labour Day has its origins in the Eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest.

Hanuman ji temple issue

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them – Galileo Galilei. Hence to discover the truth about the issue of Sri Hanuman ji idol at temple which is situated at Malad (W) is mentioned below which is as follows:-

In the year 1998 Asmita group which is owned by me, have purchased the plot at Malad (W) for the construction purpose. In 2006 Joint venture (JV) was formed & named as “Sun Developers” with PNK Builders – Patel Brothers to develop the said property. I have formed JV owing to lack of time in executing the said property due to my involvement in various political / social / other activities.

The whole issue revolves around the Sri Hanuman ji Mandir which is on road near the said plot wherein i have made it very clear to JV Partners to first construct the new temple in the plot before the construction of the building & than shift the idols from old temple to new temple. The grand & beautiful new temple was constructed in proper plot after taking priest & local people into confidence.

After discovering the facts of the old temple & its idols from local priest, i made personnel visit to village in Varanasi to double check the facts from the original family who have constructed the old temple & installed idols over there. There was technical difficulty in removing the old hanuman ji idol coz some of idol portion has caved in the ground below it. As there was no trustee in this temple it was decided after making due consultation with original owners , priest of the temple & local people to have new idol of Sri hanuman ji in place of old idol. The new idol was installed with all the required rituals / customs & old idol was immersed after taking into confidence all the people involved in this temple. Fortunately entire ceremony of new idol installation is video recorded & photographed.

When i was away to Delhi i was informed that somebody has lodge complaint in police for removing the old hanuman ji idol against the few employees & contractor of the Joint venture. The fact remains the same. The entire episode is been politised & to malign my image of secular person by vested parties in the name of religion.

It’s really very sad & heartbreaking that after having good intentions in heart & secular image created by hard work there are vested parties for Making Mountain out of a molehill. “The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is.” – Winston Churchill.

Dumping ground

I have raised the issue of dumping ground not only for mira bhayander muncipal corporation but for all the areas like palghar, kalyan, thane,toloja, dombivali etc. The govt must look out for the permanent solution to all these serious health issue on asap basis.

Police reforms issue raised in the Maharashtra Assembly

I have raised the following points in the Maharashtra Assembly in regards to police reforms & issues:-

1)I have once again demanded to have coastal police commissioner office for the entire belt of maharashtra coast line.

2)I have also demamaded to have regular training programmes on various sections of indian penal codes to all the police officers & senior staff of all the police stations in the maharashtra. Due to errors in implementing right penal code there is low rate of conviction & justice to its citizens.

3)Police reforms are not limited to providing police personnel with advanced weapons, but it is more about considering their worries while discharging official duties, besides looking into family tensions, stress levels and other factors.

4)Even during 9/11 in New york & 7/7 in London bombing the respective police forces were shifted after 12 hours shift but over here during such crisis they have to work in 24-60 hours continous shift which goes against nature law. The govt has to enact new law for max shift of 12 hours in police forces irrespsective of the demand of the day / crisis.

5)I have also requested the state to address the problem of housing / Education / work related travelling for all the police forces & families.

Police reforms are necessary as the police have a close relationship with the common people

Cremation Ground in Bhayander

The residents of bhayander will have new cremation ground very soon.

Jogger's Park at Bhayander east - Jesal Park

Finally good news for bhayander- East residents for having state of art Joggers Park which is opening on 10th of April 10. I have contributed Rs 40 Lakhs from my MLC Fund towards the Joggers' Park in bhayander east at jesal park which is a seaside jogging track in where joggers of Mira – Bhayander can congregate. In this joggers park the citizens would have another recreation place for daily activities. Jogging is the exercise recharging mind along with body. This is the exercise form suitable for all the age groups. The main intention is to increase fitness with less stress on the body than from faster running. The Eco-friendly Jogging Track is developed and well-maintained keeping in mind the necessities needed facilities.

M’rashtra scraps octroi in Mira - Bhayander municipal area

The Maharashtra government on 19TH March -10 has proposed abolition of Octroi Duty in Mira Bhayander Municipal limits by replacing account based cess from 1st of April 10.The state government has assured to compensate revenue loss due to the shifting to account base cess from the Octroi Duty regime.At last i have been able to convince state govt for the abolition of the octroi once for all.

Al Azahar University cairo,Egypt

It was a great honour & privilege to have Dr Omar Abdullah Kamel an eminent & renowned Islamic scholar from Al Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt to pay visit and address the gathering on the eve of Milad un Nabi at Al Shams Jama Masjid in Mira road. He has accepted our proposal to give affiliation to all the diploma`s and Post Graduate courses in Islamic studies. Hopefully Mira road will be the first to have this kind of courses and affiliation in the country.

The Umrao Hospitals

It is often said that nothing happens, unless there is a dream first. At the genesis of the Umrao Hospital story there was a dream. A dream so powerful, that it will help transform the medical landscape right from Andheri to Surat as this belt lacks with proper medical facilities under one roof , this is what made me to enter in this area and moreover a long pending social commitment as a businessmen towards the society & the people in general. At last the Umrao Hospital at mira road with 330 beds multi speciality hospital will commence operations in next few months from now.

Blood Bank,Library,Hospital,Morgue Room

At last with 20 years of hard work and struggle Mira Bhayander will have Blood Bank, Library, Hospital and Morgue Room in few days from now, personally it’s a dream / Vision come true for me which was always back on my mind since i was first elected as a corporator in 1991. Eventually the construction work to all the facilities was started when i was elected as an MLC and really feels ecstatic that it would be completed within my tenure which ends shortly. The Blood Bank should make blood available to all needy at a lowest cost and the Library should cater to all sections of the society. Now i am looking forward to have the prominent & renowned authors of the world to come, deliver & share their viewpoint in this library.

garbage

finally the garbage issue is resolved for a year,the villagers in uttan joined by few NGOs supported by NCP had objected for having a recycling plant for various reasons,after the orders from high court and government and restriction orders to those who were opposing it and with the election of congress mayor in the corporation we had been able to resolve the issue.
i have also taken up this issue of entire thane district with the government and MMRDA to find a permanent solution to this major problem.
