M’rashtra scraps octroi in Mira - Bhayander municipal area

The Maharashtra government on 19TH March -10 has proposed abolition of Octroi Duty in Mira Bhayander Municipal limits by replacing account based cess from 1st of April 10.The state government has assured to compensate revenue loss due to the shifting to account base cess from the Octroi Duty regime.At last i have been able to convince state govt for the abolition of the octroi once for all.

    People are still paying Octroi. Even if we carry any personal thing such as new electronic items or a new cell phone, we have to pay the octori. Even people shifting to Mira Road have to pay octroi for their old furniture and cupboards. such a pity to come to Mira Road

    DEAR SIR,

    OCTROI AGENCY ARE STILL HARRISING US NEAR THE ENTRANCE LEFT SIDE FROM HIGHWAY AT KASIMIRA. HAVE THEY BEEN INFORMED THAT THE OCTROI HAS BEEN SCRAPED BY MAHARASHTRA GOVERNMENT. WHY THEY ARE DOING SO. WHY THE ACTION HAS BEEN NOT TAKEN.

    THIS IS A KIND REQUEST TO YOU TO TAKE A NECESSARY ACTION AGAINST IT.
