5 comments:

  1. Mr, Muzaafar Hussain

Truly Mira-Bhayander road will soon turn inot garbage city. Why is the garabage still lying around? Why dont the Muncipal make alternate arrangments to pick up and dump the garbage.
The Muncipal is very eager to collect money at ZAKAT Naka. They have kept Gondaas to collect ZAKAT form the poor people who come to Mira Road with their used house furniture and household items. If we get delayed in paying Taxe's for our flat they come running to stick the notice at our door....
Is it for that only our so called Mira-Bhayander Muncipal corp is?

  2. Mira Road Residents likely to be killed by Plague like deceases as happened in Surat

All of us facing the problem of Garbage lifting since last Dasera. Basic reasons behind this issue are:
    1. Political Vendetta between political parties to grab Mayor Post and hold on MBMC
    2. Political Leaders decision to teach a lesson to newly appointed contractor who did not paid them the amounts demanded by them
    3. Gross negligence of Authorities to provide sufficient land for dumping ground as per need of the area
    4. Opposition from Uttan Residents against existing dumping ground facility.

Mira Road Residents are becoming victims of dirty political games played by their own elected representatives. On one hand the Municipal Corporation is threating the residents to auction their houses for non-payment of Municipal Assessment Charges and on other hand the Citizens cannot take any action against Municipal Officers and Politicians for their failure to provide basic services like lifting of garbage for which they are demanding Municipal Assessment Charges.

Whatever it may be! It is necessary in larger public interest of Mira-Bhayender that they intervene in this PIL or file separate Petition to put up their side.

The Citizens are required to unite, discuss and fight for the basic facility of dumping ground and garbage lifting. The main points are:
    1. To compel the MBMC & State Govt. to immediately provide some land to dump the garbage till permanent arrangement is done.
    2. To compel the MBMC & State Govt. to acquire sufficient land (at far distance from residential area as per Supreme Court guidelines) to dump, process and dispose the garbage in eco friendly manner. The land shall be sufficient enough to take care of next 15-20 years. It should be equipped in such a manner that the garbage accumulated get disposed of in equivalent quantify of daily incoming garbage.
    3. To compel the MBMC & State Govt. to take sufficient steps to utilize the accumulated garbage for making manure, gas and electricity i.e. recycle the maximum quantity.

    What is urgency
Are we waiting to be killed by Plague like deceases as happened in Surat?

Since Dasera, the population of Rats & Mouses has been increased in manifold. They have made their houses beneath our buildings and are damaging the drainage systems of our buildings & common open drainage system. Even the size of Rats is increasing. This is a real threat.

The gas coming out from accumulated garbage is another major health hazard. Tehre is every possibility that people will soon be get affected from various types of diseases and cancers.

Will Mr. Hussain do something? Or continue to turn a blind eye.

  3. Will Mr. Hussain pl. inform the public what he really does to solve the problem of dumping ground? Ultimately, we have trusted him and are continuing sending him for 10 years as our representative.

It was not expected from Mr. Hussain that like other politicians, he will turn a blind eye to this issue. Now, we saw no difference between him and others.

Why people of Mira Road should be punished (by his inaction) because of Congress did not given ticket to him?

At least he should have done something to make temporary arrangements to dump the garbage till issue get resolved?

  4. Dear Muzaffar Hussein,

I think we all need to rise above politics and seriously take matters in our own hands. What a sorry state of affairs garbage at all nook and corners of Mira Road and Bhayander. Some of the housing societies have started burning the garbage thereby causing breathing problems to kids and asthematics.

The dumped garbage has become a breeding ground for mosquito's and a epidemic is just waiting to happen.

I simply can't understand why people are just suffering and not standing up for their rights. Why can't all societies get together and stop paying the MBMC tax and hire trucks to dump all the garbage inside the MBMC Head Office where it truly belongs.

Mr Hussein as a guardian angel of this city you have to truly live upto our expectations.

    Please please do something.

  5. Garbage disaster at Mira road puts lives in danger

We the Residents of Mira Road are facing the problem of non-clearance of garbage since last October 2009. Therefore to find a permanent solution, the people are raise their voice and initiate action to avoid serious health hazards.

The Authorities have grossly neglected and did not anticipate the need of the dumping ground to dispose of the garbage. Population in Mira-Bhayender town has multiplied manifolds in last five years. The politicians and administrators i.e. Commissioner etc. of MBMC have not taken necessary and effective steps to acquire sufficient land where garbage can be dumped. The MBMC is collecting taxes from residents, but fails to provide this basic facility. The Supreme Court has given directions in regard to Dumping Ground. But since these politicians & administrators are not accountable, how can one expect them to work for the citizens. Now, we are being penalized for their gross negligence.

Some local people have opposed the dumping of garbage near to their vicinity. They are right in doing so, since we now know from the stink from the accumulated garbage of few days.

To compel the MBMC & State Govt. to immediately provide some land to dump the garbage till permanent arrangement is done. To compel the MBMC & State Govt. to acquire sufficient land to dump, (at far distance from residential area as per Supreme Court guidelines), process and dispose the garbage in eco friendly manner. The land shall be sufficient enough to take care of next 15-20 years. It should be equipped in such a manner that the garbage accumulated gets disposed of in equivalent quantity of daily incoming garbage.

To compel the MBMC and the State Govt. to take sufficient steps to utilize the accumulated garbage for making manure, gas and electricity i.e. recycle the maximum quantity.

What is the urgency Accumulation of Garbage for so many days is really a health hazard. We forget the horrors of what happened in Surat. Are we waiting to be killed by Plague like diseases?

Since October, the population of rodents has been increased manifold. They have made their houses beneath our buildings and are damaging the drainage systems of our buildings and common open drainage system. This is a real threat.

The gas coming out from accumulated garbage is another major health hazard. There is every possibility that people will soon be get affected from various types of diseases and cancers.
    So, Kindly take immediate action.
